FREEZING MOO

I am pretty sure most of you people who has been in the black metal scene for a while and going to festivals will know Freezing Moo. An amazing live photographer and a fellow black metal nerd.

I met her trough Mayhem, and she has inspired me in so many ways, in her always happy mood, her funny jokes and her art.

Saddenly, she passed away in 2022 after a long fight with breast cancer. I wanted to honor her with a painting inspired by some of her black and white photos.

What is a better way to honor her, than showing this painting off for the first time, than Inferno festival. I hope you enjoy it. Freezing Moo will forever be in my thoughts whenever I listen to Mayhem.

Thank you for the friendship, and you will be forever missed.

EXPLODING SKULL PROJECT

On of my favorite artists Richey Beckett made a collaborative art project online during the lockdown. He made the base skull, and then different artists was allowed to make something out of it. This was mine. Everyone should check this guys art out. You have probably seen some of it before if you are into music.

CONSTITUTION DAY 2020

Since the whole world is in lockdown, we decided to spend the Norwegian constitution day at my cabin. Usually the whole city is filled with drunk people celebrating. I have always wanted to go skiing, but my fear of not showing off my bunad has stopped me for years. But this year… since everything else is cancelled and I am already staying away from people, my little dream came through.

This is by the fishing water not far from my cabin. Very cold….

Espen`s bunad is from Gudbrandsdalen and mine is from Rogaland
I have never felt more Norwegian in my life….

MEDITATION IN ARTFORM II

My second solo exhibition is going down in a month. This time in Bergen. It will also be during the Beyond the Gates festival, so looking forward to a week with black metal and art. It will be at Galleri Fjalar that is owned by non other than Kristian Espedal aka Gaahl. I’m a huge fan, so I’m a little nervous. Will be fun to exhibit some art I’ve never shown before.

You are all welcome!

YOKOHAMA

We took the train from Nagano to Tokyo and then to Yokohama for attending Interstyle.

A pretty big convention for board and outdoor sports.

After running into some of my favorite skateboarders in the elevator and became startstruck as hell, it was time to run off and see my other big hero; Shige.

Always wanted to see his shop. Methim first time 10 years ago before I started tattooing. He has been one of my biggest inspirations since then.

This artwork is going on my wall at home.

Then I met the guys from Yes and Nidecker for some dinner and beer.

I decided to stay one extra day in Yokohama, just because I really like this city better than Tokyo.

The Aloha feeling is strong here.

Even got some skateboarding in the last day before heading back to Tokyo.
